The protein smoothie can actually be a highly-customizable tool used in your daily nutrient intake. Given the right ingredients, the smoothie can be tasty, filling and nutritious.
Below, we’ll take a deeper dive into the anatomy of the protein smoothie and how hemp can supercharge an already near-perfect food.
The power of the hemp protein smoothie
If you haven’t figured out by now, we absolutely love the protein smoothie. Possibly the biggest reason for that love is the aspect of its customizability.
No matter what diet or macro-nutrient mix you’re actively trying, there is a protein smoothie recipe for it. You can also achieve your macro-goals by adding in green superfoods (kale, spinach etc.) to add a healthy dose of micro-nutrients that most people forget about. Ingredients
- 10 ice cubes
- ¼ cup blueberries & strawberries
- 1 scoop of hemp-based protein
- 1 tablespoon of hemp hearts
- 1-2 tablespoons of organic honey
- ½ cup of almond milk
Preparation
- Put all ingredients into blender
- Blend into desired consistency (change amount of ice & milk to change thickness)
